| One-MTM Webinar: Industrial ergonomics – the key to greater competitiveness

The Fondazione Ergo in Italy and the MTM ASSOCIATION e. V. in Germany offer a webinar on the topic of "Industrial Ergonomics" as part of One-MTM, the international partner network. The aim is to help small and medium-sized companies in Italy and all over the world to meet the above challenges and to make them known with EAWS (Ergonomic Assessment WorkSheet), one of the most advanced tools for the comprehensive assessment of the risk of biomechanical overload. The webinar will take place on 24.06.2020, 5 to 6 p.m. (CEST).

Demographic change, the functioning of markets and technological innovations are factors that are leading to a redefinition of the labour market and production processes. These changes are changing the nature of work itself and the means by which work is organised and managed – and at the same time they bring new health and safety challenges. One of these challenges is the ergonomic risk in work processes based on biomechanical stress.

The Fondazione Ergo in Italy and the MTM ASSOCIATION e. V. in Germany are offering a webinar on the topic "Industrial Ergonomics" on June 24th, 2020 as part of One-MTM, the international partner network.

Date: June 24th, 2020, 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. (CEST), by Microsoft Teams (without registration)

  • Interaction of occupational safety, organisational culture and productivity
  • Employee participation
  • Productivity right from the start
  • Good job design

Focus on economy and ergonomics
Medium-sized companies often do not have the necessary resources and skills to arrive at a solution that takes into account the costs and needs of the employees. A "cosmetic" ergonomics assessment, on the other hand, often leads only to a marginal improvement in employee safety, combined with a paradoxical increase in costs. This is where "industrial ergonomics" is needed, i.e. ergonomic risk management that adapts flexibly and quickly to changing requirements in terms of volume and production mix. Ergonomics and industrial organisation are the indispensable prerequisites for increasing the competitiveness of medium-sized companies.

The solution: the EAWS assessment tool
The aim of the webinar is to help small and medium-sized companies in Italy and around the world to meet the above-mentioned challenges and to familiarize them with EAWS (Ergonomic Assessment WorkSheet), one of the most advanced tools for a comprehensive assessment of the risk of biomechanical overload. EAWS enables the integration of ergonomics from the development and design phase of products to the planning of the assembly line. With the introduction of EAWS, work systems become more productive, safer and more efficient.
