The use of motion tracking and virtual reality for human simulation has also become indispensable in product development. "Today, digital human modeling is used by manufacturers worldwide in all phases, from initial product design to the assembly process to usability evaluation," describes Ulrich Raschke, Director Human Simulation Products at Siemens Digital Industries in Michigan, USA. With the introduction of low-cost, consumer-oriented VR technologies, human simulation is spreading even faster, he adds.
Modern software technology uses the latest knowledge on human modeling, including anthropometric population data, motion predictions and models that map human performance, Raschke said. During his presentation at MTM SUMMIT – International Human Work Forum – on Oct. 20-21, 2021, in Hamburg & online, he will introduce Siemens Jack Human simulation technology, which combines with the latest virtual reality features to accelerate simulation creation to generate highly detailed analyses of human work.
The MTM SUMMIT 2021 will also feature experts from IT and ergonomics, including from TU Dortmund University, Fraunhofer Austria, imk automotive, Communardo, Thanos and LivingSolids. Exciting presentations on international best practice in MTM application, the tension between economics and ergonomics, and global training and development will come, for example, from Bosch, Mercedes-Benz, REWE, Miele, Volkswagen, DB Netz, NEFF, Jungheinrich and item Industrietechnik, among others. From the One-MTM network, partners from China, Hungary, Italy, USA and Benelux will have their say.
EAWS International Symposium (EIS) is part of the MTM SUMMIT 2021
The MTM Summit 2021 combines the MTM Digital Solutions Day (20.10.2021), the MTM Community Day (21.10.2021) and – integrated via live stream – the EAWS International Symposium, or EIS for short, organized by Fondazione Ergo-MTM Italia on 20.10.2021. Participants of the MTM SUMMIT will thus be present when international ergonomics experts discuss the application and further development of EAWS® (Ergonomic Assessment Work Sheet), the screening method for assessing ergonomic risks in the workplace.
We offer simultaneous translation German - English to all international participants.
IMPORTANT NOTE
MTM SUMMIT 2021 is planned as a hybrid event. Online tickets are still available at the Early Bird price until July 31, 2021! The sale of face-to-face tickets will be activated in September 2021. This is due to possible restrictions at the venue in Hamburg. Those interested in attending on-site can be placed on a waiting list and will be informed as soon as tickets can be booked. We will keep a hotel contingent for presence participants.
