09/03/2021 | HWD development project: "A prime example of successful association work"
After 9 years and 62 working group meetings, the representatives of the 5 consortium partners and 11 authorized companies put the finishing touches to the HWD® (Human Work Design) development project on 02.09.21. Dr. Thomas Finsterbusch, head of the MTM Academy of the MTM ASSOCIATION e. V., who also moderated the last meeting of the MTM HWD working group, describes the development project as a prime example of successful association work. "This intensive cooperation between member companies and the MTM organization over such a long period of time has made a major contribution to modernizing the MTM process and strengthening the MTM competence network," he noted. With a great deal of heart and soul, he said, all those involved had developed, tested, improved, taught and introduced the new MTM-HWD® process module system, which is now being used in practice worldwide. "On behalf of the MTM ASSOCIATION e. V., I would like to express my sincere thanks to all consortium partners and the newly acquired authorized users for this successful, trusting and results-oriented cooperation."
Official handover at the MTM SUMMIT 2021
The official handover of the results of the HWD® development project to the MTM ASSOCIATION e. V. will take place during the MTM SUMMIT on October 20/21, 2021 in Hamburg. In addition to presentations on the topic, an extra session on MTM-HWD® is planned, in which the MTM-HWD developers and users will be available to answer questions from interested specialists and managers on the benefits and areas of application of the new process module system. MTM-HWD® – one analysis, four results
For the first time, the MTM-HWD® process building block system combines methodical and ergonomic work design in a single step. While the classic MTM process building block systems are primarily used by the work planner, HWD® is designed for use by several functional areas: from time management to ergonomics/workplace health management/the company physician, from product development and design to human resources and improvement management. The big advantage is that a single analysis produces four results at once: Process description, time, ergonomics and the productivity indicator eHpU (engineered Hours per Unit).
From MTM-Practitioner to teaching license
MTM-HWD® is now also part of the training and examination regulations of the MTM ASSOCIATION e. V. Since 2014, numerous training courses have taken place in several languages, including in-house training at Miele, Volkswagen, Bosch, BSH, GEZE and Schaeffler. With the completion of the development project and the official handover of the results, the MTM ASSOCIATION e. V. can now also issue the teaching license for the MTM-HWD® process module system to all interested instructors worldwide, in addition to the MTM-HWD® training up to the "Blue Card" level.
The next training will take place from 13 to 17 September 201 in Zeuthen. All info at training.mtm.org
